About InformaticsWiki

The InformaticsWiki was established in the late summer of 2006 to support a collaborative learning environment for the Bioinformatics program of the Informatics Institute of UMDNJ. You can still navigate to those old pages by linking to the 2006 2007 Informatics Wiki Main Page

What You Can Do

• If you are enrolled in the Fundamentals of Bioinformatics class, you can both read and write to this Wiki. The Wiki is available to anyone in the world, but only registered users can write to in.

For this class, we will use this Wiki during the the semester for two purposes:

1. help and discussion for regular assignments
2. to carry our some other assignments that will ask that you develop articles relevant to the subjects we are studying, much as you would compose assignments and hand them in for another course.

The critical difference in the model we will be using here is that no article is ever final. You will be encouraged to improve on your own articles and those of others.

Assignments Discussions and Questoins

In Wiki-talk, an "article" is a page with a history. Each assignment will be associated with an article. As you are working on an assignment, use those pages for comments and questions. Please do not post "answers" or ask if a particular answer is "right."
