Lab Methods Discussion, Spring 2008
From InformaticsWiki
Please use this page to discuss the Lab Methods assignment.
For #7 how to build a gel electrophoresis machine at bottom of wiki.
How can I make my references start at #8 instead of listing all references at the bottom of page.
I want it to look like #3.

By using the Level Two Headline tag == Headline text ==, you've divided your article into sections. Christina included a <References> tag at the end of the section on Microarrays, and that accumulated all of the references on the page up to that point. At the end of the page, someone else included a second <References> tag which accumulated all of the references in the article including those also listed in the microarray section. I recommend that the <References> tag be used only at the end of the page and not in the major sections. --Dr. Byrne 07:41, 23 January 2008 (EST)
Just a quick note, Edwin Southern invented the Southern blot and it is always capitalized because it is a name. However, western and northern blots were named because scientist think they´re clever and were not named for a person, so they are not capitalized. --Christian 21:21, 22 January 2008 (EST)
Dr. Moss,
I have added some information on Lab Method, I just want to verify if I have typed the information in the way that this assignment requires? Also, are we writing under more than one topic? thanks.--Patels19 19:33, 23 January 2008 (EST)
You may edit only one section or many. Your contribution will be measured by the amount and quality of your contributions. --Dr. Moss 15:03, 24 January 2008 (EST)
You don't have to sign your contributions in the wiki article itself. The History will tell us who contributed what. As you continue to work, please remove your signatures from the article. --Dr. Moss 15:15, 24 January 2008 (EST)
