[edit] About InformaticsWiki

The InformaticsWiki was established in the late summer of 2006 to support a collaborative learning environment for the Bioinformatics program of the Informatics Institute of UMDNJ. This page is an archived copy of earlier Main Pages, copied to this archive and last archived in January, 2008.

[edit] What You Can Do

  • If you are enrolled in the Fundamentals of Bioinformatics class, you will use this Wiki to post articles relevant to the subjects we are studying, much as you would compose assignments and hand them in for another course. The critical difference in the model we will be using here is that no article is ever final. You will be encouraged to improve on your own articles and those of others.
  • If you are enrolled in the Platforms & Applications class, you can use this Wiki to add amendments to the notes. After all, this is YOUR class.
  • If you are not enrolled in the course and are not otherwise affiliated with our program, you will not yet be able to edit these pages, although you can view them. Useful contributions may be used to enhance Wikipedia at a later date.
  • This is a test edit 8/15/2007 and yet another one and a link to a new august page

Each assignment will be associated with an article.

  • As you are working on an assignment, use those pages for comments and questions. Please do not post "answers" or ask if a particular answer is "right."
  • Once the assignments are graded, your instructors will use the pages to post general comments about your individual and group efforts.
